I listened to an interview of Chris Guillebeau, author of “The Art of Non-Conformity” last night. Those who know me realize that I could have written the book. Needless to say, I ordered the book today on Amazon. I’ll read it and pass it on, in the hopes of releasing another soul from the corporate matrix!
Here is a quote from Chris:
“The most important thing is to do what you do intentionally”
Kinda sounds like a Yogi Berra quote, but let’s dissect it… “most important thing” that is a focal point…. what is critical for your mind to focus on….. “to do” action, action goals are goals that work….. “do intentionally” versus reaction, many of us are in reaction mode all day. I’m guilty of this. I’m obsesses with checking e-mail. I’ll change. I intend to change. So, “do intentionally” implies a conscious, planned effort.
He stresses that it is not necessary to live the way everyone else does, create your own path. Examine what you want to do, what excites you and move towards that goal with action.
Here is the book on Amazon, less than $10 for some motivation, what are you waiting for? Take action!
